## About Danielle Gamar, LCSW-R

Danielle Gamar is a licensed clinical social worker with psychotherapy privileges at Brightline's White Plains clinic. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based — built around helping kids and teens recognize what they're capable of, often before they can see it themselves.

Danielle works with children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, school-related stress, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. She draws from DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy, tailoring treatment to each child's developmental stage, strengths, and goals. Much of her career has been spent in school settings, where she has provided crisis intervention and prevention programming, working closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support kids' emotional well-being.

What drives Danielle is the moment a young person leaves therapy believing something they didn't when they walked in: "I'm stronger than I thought."

### What is a therapist?

Brightline therapists have earned their master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or counseling. They are independently licensed. They are qualified to do therapy and diagnostic evaluations (when they have their diagnostic privilege credential for some license types). Therapists do not prescribe medication, but they are able to directly refer families who need that service to a Brightline psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner.
