## About Kingsley Czermerys, LMHC

Kingsley Czermerys is a licensed mental health counselor and therapy manager at Brightline's Albany clinic. Their approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and built around making every child, teen, and family feel safe, seen, and empowered from the very first session.

Kingsley specializes in supporting LGBTQIA+ youth, individuals experiencing gender variance, neurodivergent kids and teens, and young people managing complex trauma, anxiety, and self-injury. They draw from CBT, DBT, and ACT, and bring specialized training in suicide assessment and safety planning through their Clinical Trauma Professional Certification and ASIST Trainer credential. Their background spans school-based counseling, higher education, outpatient clinics, and high-intensity mobile crisis response.

### Carlen Hiciano, LMHC-D

"What excites me most about this field is being able to work with children, teens and families. It's amazing to watch clients discover their own strengths, reclaim their confidence, and realize just how resilient they truly are. I’m also deeply passionate about breaking down barriers to mental health care and providing bilingual (English/Spanish) therapeutic services."

### Jalen Parson, LMHC-D

"I am passionate about increasing access to high-quality mental health care for underserved communities and helping families build stronger, healthier relationships. What inspires me most about this work is helping children and adolescents recognize that difficult moments do not define who they are or what they are capable of becoming."

### What is a therapist?

Brightline therapists have earned their master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or counseling. They are independently licensed. They are qualified to do therapy and diagnostic evaluations (when they have their diagnostic privilege credential for some license types). Therapists do not prescribe medication, but they are able to directly refer families who need that service to a Brightline psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner.
