About Alba Reyes, LCSW, LICSW
Alba Reyes, LCSW is a bilingual licensed clinical social worker at Brightline's New Rochelle clinic. With more than 20 years of experience working with children, teens, and families across in-home, school, nonprofit, and private practice settings, she brings a deep and wide-ranging clinical foundation to her work.
Alba specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, ADHD, life transitions, and cultural identity, with a particular focus on BIPOC and Latinx communities and the experiences of immigrants and multicultural families. She draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and parent management training, tailoring her approach to each child and family's needs. What is a therapist?
Brightline therapists have earned their master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or counseling. They are independently licensed. They are qualified to do therapy and diagnostic evaluations (when they have their diagnostic privilege credential for some license types). Therapists do not prescribe medication, but they are able to directly refer families who need that service to a Brightline psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner.
