Children’s mental health and therapy services in Lake Success

Behind every behavior is a story worth understanding. Brightline's children's mental health and therapy services in Lake Success help families look beyond the symptoms, uncover what's driving their child's challenges, and build skills that support healthier, happier lives.

Every child deserves to feel understood. Let us help.

What to expect from child therapy

Our Lake Success child therapists firmly believe that children don’t need to be “fixed,” they need the right tools, support, and environment to succeed. We take the time to understand your child so we can provide the support they need to thrive.

Sessions are tailored to your child's age, personality, and goals, using evidence-based techniques that encourage steady, meaningful progress.

Parents are an important part of the process. Along the way, your child’s therapist will share practical strategies and insights you can use at home to reinforce the skills your child is learning.

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

Every child has difficult days, and occasional worries, tantrums, or behavior changes are a normal part of growing up. The difference is when those challenges become persistent, begin affecting everyday life, or make it harder for your child to succeed at home, at school, or with friends.

You may want to consider therapy if your child:

  • Seems anxious, sad, angry, or overwhelmed more often than usual

  • Has frequent emotional outbursts or struggles to regulate their emotions

  • Is having increasing difficulty at school or with friendships

  • Has withdrawn from family members, activities, or social situations

  • Shows noticeable changes in behavior, sleep, or mood

  • Continues to struggle despite support at home or school

If these challenges sound familiar, you don't have to navigate them alone. Brightline’s Lake Success child therapy services help children develop practical coping skills while giving parents guidance and support every step of the way.

After every session, my hope is that kids, teens, and their parents leave feeling a little lighter, more hopeful, and more confident in their ability to weather life’s storms. I try to be the kind of person who sees the best in others and helps them discover that same light within themselves. When people truly begin to see the best in themselves, I believe they act in ways that honor that truth and stop getting in their own way.

What Brightline offers through our in-person and online appointments

Care for every child starts with a diagnostic evaluation. It includes structured, in-depth conversations with both parent and child, and a follow-up session where we'll share evaluation results and a recommendation for next steps.

The goal? That you come away holding a care plan you helped create, knowing we truly understand what your child needs. From there, Brightline will recommend one of these paths:
