About Kari O'Rourke
Kari O’Rourke is the CEO of Brightline, the leading pediatric mental health solution that supports kids, teens, and their parents. With more than two decades of experience building and scaling care models across the U.S., she has expertly led organizations of all sizes through rapid growth, operational complexity, and industry-defining healthcare innovation.
Prior to joining Brightline, Kari was the President of Imagine Pediatrics, one of the fastest-growing value-based care companies in the Medicaid pediatric space. Kari helped the company redefine high-acuity pediatric care, integrating virtual, in-home, and interdisciplinary models to improve outcomes for medically complex children and reduce unnecessary utilization.
Additional leadership roles include her work at CVS Health, where she directed the expansion of more than 300 MinuteClinic centers, and her tenure as COO of Landmark Health, where she expanded the organization from five to 18 markets and led more than 2,000 clinicians and staff across one of the nation’s largest risk-bearing, home-based medical groups. She later served as COO of Cortica, leading operations and strategy for a pioneering pediatric neurobehavioral value-based care company.
Beginning her career as a NICU nurse and later a Family Nurse Practitioner, Kari blends deep clinical insight with operational discipline, scale, and strategic vision. She is known for building mission-driven teams, navigating complex payer and provider partnerships, and driving growth that aligns patient outcomes with sustainable business performance across both fee-for-service and value-based care models.
