About Gabrielle Lee, LICSW
Gabrielle Lee is a licensed independent clinical social worker at Brightline, providing online care to families in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Gabrielle grew up alongside an autistic family member and has seen firsthand how important — and difficult — accessing meaningful and comprehensive mental health support can be. This experience has fostered her passion for reimagining how differences are understood. Gabrielle celebrates differences, guides through challenges, and helps strengthen the bonds between caregivers, children, families, and communities through her practice.
She began her career working with kids with autism and their families, and has provided mental health care for kids and families across multiple settings: inpatient psychiatric and partial hospitalization programs, outpatient pediatric medical practices, community and home-based environments, foster care agencies, private practices, and summer camps. She has offered both short and long-term individual outpatient therapy, group therapy, and emergency care for teens experiencing mental health crises, and has supported kids and teens experiencing challenges related to behavioral dysregulation, anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma, OCD, depression, and more.
Gabrielle employs a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), play therapy, behavioral activation (BA), solutions focused therapy, exposure therapy, and more. She also has experience working with caregivers through individual and group parent coaching. Gabrielle strives to help kids engage in new experiences and develop skills while empowering families to nurture those skills along the way.

What is a therapist?
Brightline therapists have earned their master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or counseling. They are independently licensed. They are qualified to do therapy and diagnostic evaluations (when they have their diagnostic privilege credential for some license types). Therapists do not prescribe medication, but they are able to directly refer families who need that service to a Brightline psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner.
